What types of renovation do you carry out?
We handle the full range: complete house refurbishments, kitchen and bathroom renovations, open-plan living conversions, structural alterations, loft conversions, and commercial refurbishments for retail, office, and hospitality spaces. Whether it’s a single room or a whole property, we manage every trade in-house.
Do I need planning permission to renovate my home?
Internal alterations generally don’t require planning permission unless the property is listed. Structural changes, such as removing load-bearing walls or altering the roofline, will require Building Regulations approval. If your property is in a conservation area, certain external changes may also need consent. We assess this as part of the initial consultation at no cost.
Can you carry out a renovation while I'm living in the property?
In many cases, yes, particularly for phased renovations or single-room refurbishments. We discuss this at the planning stage and structure the programme to suit your situation. For more extensive works, temporary relocation is often more practical and cost-effective overall.
Can you renovate a listed building?
Yes. We have direct experience working on listed buildings and understand the consents required. Listed building consent is separate from planning permission and applies to any works that affect the character of the building, inside or out. We work with conservation officers and can advise on what is and isn’t permitted before any work starts.
How disruptive is a full house renovation?
It depends on the scope of work. For major refurbishments, most clients choose to move out during the main construction phase. We plan the project in stages where possible to keep disruption to a minimum, and we maintain a clean, secure site throughout. We’ll give you a realistic picture of what to expect before work starts.
Do you handle all trades in-house?
Yes. Our team covers groundworks, structural work, brickwork and blockwork, carpentry, plastering, tiling, painting and decoration. For specialist trades such as plumbing, electrics, and heating, we work with a trusted network of vetted subcontractors who work as part of our team. One point of contact throughout.
